/ORGANISATION: MOVEMBER

So this may be like 5 days late, but I feel Movember is a worthy enough cause to support regardless. Movember is a month-long (rather, November-long) charity and awareness drive which is run world-wide for cancer fund-raising and awareness. Officially launched in 2004, this drive has been growing incredibly fast since. I’ll let them explain better:

During November each year, Movember is responsible for the sprouting of moustaches on thousands of men’s faces around the world. The aim of which is to raise vital funds and awareness for men’s health, specifically prostate cancer and other cancers that affect men.
On Movember 1st, guys register at Movember.com with a clean-shave face and then for the rest of the month, these selfless and generous men, known as Mo Bros, groom, trim and wax their way into the annals of fine moustachery. Mo Sistas are the women who register to support the men in their lives, raising funds by seeking sponsorship for their Mo-growing efforts.”

Support the cause if you can sprout some facial hair, otherwise, you could join as a “Mosista“.

NOTE: Some of the pictures shown in the above slideshow advertise a different organisation, Moustaches Make a Difference, which is similar, but has its own take:

“Movember is a month where men all over the world grow their moustaches in support of men’s health issues. We’re bringing our own version of this movement to Singapore, and growing our moustaches in support of prostate cancer research.”
